about

our blanket skies Berlin, Germany

this odd but gentle troubadour and storyteller who is aka "our blanket skies" is fond of tragedies, especially the ones that make you smile afterwards. the funny little creatures in his songs include monsters, vampires, magic dragons and little girls dancing at airports. Some are silly but pretty enjoyable to sing along with.

the singer and his muse Uku Lilli currently reside in Berlin.

Track Name: TRACK 10 - The last laugh (our blanket skies)
The last laugh
(w & m: m.f.brasch)

if you hurt someone you love
and not one of your words could ever make amends
if your best was not enough
and as always you know there won’t be a second chance

if a raincloud spits you out
and it seems that your clothes will never get dry again
then this time your life has struck you hard
but the last laugh will be yours

if the girl you still love too much
is gonna marry this man and will bear him his daughters
if the friend you entrusted your dreams
sold them for ten pence the pound to the slaughters

if your nights are much too cold
and no blanket could stop your heart from trembling
then, my friend,
this life has struck you down
but the last laugh will be yours

and if there’s no one by your side
who can tell you a joke that makes you smile again
then this time your life has struck you down
but the last laugh will be yours
